High Performance Computing

High Performance Computing (HPC) facilities are essential for the processing and analysis of laboratory data.  The HPC facilities we manage provide researchers with the significant ‘compute’ power required for the processing and analysis of genomic/proteomic data (bioinformatics), as well imaging, mathematical modelling and simulations.

Our HPC facilities include:

  • Linux clusters: ca 5000 cores aggregate, Xeon Phi, Nvidia Tesla, Edico Dragen
  • SGI UV: 2x UV300 156 cores/12TB RAM, 1x UV100 768 cores/6TB, UV2000 2560 cores/20TB/ 32x Xeon Phi
  • CyVerse private cloud infrastructure
